Stuart Haruyama

AmeriCorps VISTA

Stuart works with the AmeriCorps VISTA Campus Compact program and CSI to develop and strengthen connections between RISD and the community. Among other projects, he works on community partnerships, assessment, and the Alternative Spring Break program.

Rachel Holcomb

Communications Manager

Rachel advises the professional clubs and organizations on campus. She also oversees student facing communications, including OrgSync, Word Out and this website. Rachel is passionate about getting you the information and resources you need. Let her know what’s important to you.

Andy Jacques

Assistant Director for Leadership Programs

Andy is the point person for most of the student clubs and organizations. He is also deeply involved in community service initiatives and leadership programming. Andy is a great person to bounce ideas off, so come by and say hello.

Don Morton


Don oversees all of the student programs and activities at RISD, and works closely with the undergrad and grad student alliances.  Don brings with him many years of experience and an artist’s perspective. He loves working with RISD students because he knows artists and designers will change the world.

Jess Raffaele

Assistant Director for Orientation and New Student Programs

Jess is in charge of Orientation, the Programming Board, Commencement, and other special programs. She is a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm. Jess loves working with RISD students because of their humor and creativity. Talk to Jess if you want to bring an event to campus or have a suggestion for how to make new students feel welcomed and informed.
