OnDemand Fitness videos and classes are free and accessible to all Fitness Center visitors. Visit a Fitness Center monitor for more information. In addition, any and all classes at the Student Fitness Center are free for RISD students.

Student Fitness Center Manager
The Center for Student Involvement is currently seeking Managers for the 2018-2019 academic year. Candidates are highly encouraged to work as a monitor at the Fitness Center before applying for management positions.

Exercise is a great way to unwind, release stress, and stay healthy. The Catanzaro Fitness Center is accessible to enrolled RISD students, faculty, and staff.*

The Facilities

The Catanzaro Fitness Center

Conveniently located in the Quad, the Catanzaro Student Fitness Center is home to two cardio and weight rooms, two group fitness rooms, space to stretch, locker rooms, and more. The Fitness Center was completely renovated in 2011 and has all the equipment you need to get in a great workout.

RISD students also have access to the Brown University Fitness and Athletic facilities. View Map  Brown's fitness facilities include a swimming pool, indoor and outdoor tracks, and tennis courts. 

You may access Brown’s fitness facilities for free with a valid RISD ID.

*Brown University Students

Brown University students may access the fitness center by showing their ID and signing a waiver at the front desk. 

Pre-College Students

All Pre-college students must sign a waiver to access the fitness center. Minors (under the age of 18) must have a waiver signed by a parent or legal guardian. Waivers are available in the online housing portal through the Continuing Education department.
